Joe Lansdale's The Drive-In

According to an article at joblo.com, special effects wizard Greg Nicotero will be directing an adaptation of Joe Lansdale’s gonzo horror classic The Drive-In. The source material is as over-the-top as Lansdale has ever written, so the movie will be something to see, and is certainly something I’ll be looking forward to. It seems it will be hard to do it justice, though, considered how outrageous the original story is. Then again, the original subtitle for the book was A B-Movie with Blood and Popcorn.

Cool.
Did I ever tell you that I stole the Drive-In from the library when I was kid cuz it wasn't available in any stores where I lived?
Yup. That's badass.

You are one smooth criminal. One day the library police will show at your door, and that'll be the end of you.

Now that is some cool news. Quite possibly my favorite of Lansdale's many great works.
