Although everyone will scream about soulless Hollywood remaking a classic, it looks pretty cool, and while I like the first one, not enough to feel that it can't be topped, due to a few flaws. Robert Englund will be missed, though.

It looks like fun, I just hope that it doesn't copy the first film and literally "remake" it. The bathtub scene redux has me worried...
I have the same misgivings. As much as people gripe about "re-imagining" classic films, I'd rather see that than one where the same movie is re-made with a new cast. Hopefully, the bathtub scene was kept because of its iconic status, and the rest of the movie will be different.
